We purchased one of these disasters on Jan 15, 2009. It arrived a week later and didn’t work at all when we plugged it in. The distributor sent another one that arrived 4 days later. It worked 3 weeks and then quit without warning. For the price, one would expect much better performance. Seems to me that Vornado is all show…no go or blow. Made in China…..probably like the baby formula.

The remote doesn’t work more than 5 feet away, so if that’s your motivation to buy this thing – forget it.. But I love the touch screen and it keeps the temperature constant!

I bought this heater two months ago and am enormously happy with my decision. My room is insulated quite well but exceeds the manufacturers’ specs by several cubic feet. Still, the heater works like a dream. After going through last winter with a $70 piece of garbage that caused the temp to fluctuate wildly, I am even more appreciative of the automatic temperature control of this heater. I don’t use the remote because I think the unit is more than effective without it. Spend the extra few dollars for this one; you’ll be glad you did.

This is a great little heater for our bedroom (approx 350 sq feet). Our bedroom sits above our unheated garage so it can get quiite cold and quite expensive to heat the entire house in the winter. We saved on our energy bills by using this heater to just the bedroom at bedtime. It is easy to program and the noise is tolerable (takes some time to get used to).
