I bought this at Lowe’s, for the same price at amazon to hold me over until my central heating gets turned on. I live in an older house probably 1950′s design with cinder-block outer walls, a tile floor in my living room and poor insulation so take that into account with this review. This heater is small about two feet tall and says rated for medium size rooms on the box. When first turned on there was a strong plastic smell but it dissipated after about 10 minutes. I currently have this in my small/medium living room and have to this about 3 feet away from me as the fan blows really low. I feel warmer but only enough to take the edge off, not freezing, but not entirely comfortable. With the built-in fan its as loud as a medium oscillating fan. Overall its ok for the price but don’t expect anything spectacular.
