I got this last year ceramic tower from lasko.

My room was cold and I turned it quite long time usually for sleeping.

It made the room warmer easily. But then I got allergy after the winter. I usually didn’t have pollen or dust allergy. But for some reason, I had terrible running nose and sneeze a lot!!

But then over the summer, I was better. and now this winter I turned the heater again, and it made me running nose and sneeze AGAIN! I got the cold medicine or allergy one.. doesn’t work very well…

I suspected it might be from the heater. I take a good look at the heater. And I saw some of dust got stuck in the vent and I think it is got burned by heat and some of dust ash gets fly all over my place and stuck my nose..

I changed to convection hallogen light style heater. Now I don’t sneeze at all and my nose feel much much better.

I guess if you use this heater for short term usage, it might be all right. But if you need to turn the heater on quite long time. It might affect your allergy or irritate your nose or throut.

You don’t really know until you use this quite long enough.

I wonder if there are some people had similar experience..

This little piece of plastic junk not only produces very little heat (even on Maximum setting), but it managed to blow my electrical circuits TWICE. Definitely not worth the trouble.

Package arrived from Amazon in good shape. I opened it and unpacked the unit, plugged it in and pushed the powwer button. It immediately generated heat – nice! After roughly 30 seconds, it just quit. The power light went from green to red and I pushed every button multiple times. Other than some beeps, nothing. The instructions say if this happens it is probably the overheating safety feature, so unplug and wait 15-30 minutes. I did this. Still nothing. Unplugged and waited over an hour. This time, the green power light came on for about 5 sseconds, and then back to red and a totally unresponisve unit. I’m not willing to spend time fooling with it. Back it goes!

Sadly this electric tower heater didn’t even warm a one foot area around it. We tried it several different places in the room, even waited/ran it for about 30 minutes and it never got warm. It claimed to be able to heat a room etc – we returned it immediately.

I loved this heater. Great function and style. Unfortunately, after 6 months, it stopped working properly. If left off, but plugged in, it would not start working again the next time it was turned on. After unplugging it for about an hour, it would work again, but only for about an hour. I will say that I intend to take a chance and order another because I like it so much. I couldn’t use the 3 year warranty because I lost the receipt.
